Joe Tacopina leads the Talent Representation practice at Madison Avenue Sports and Entertainment. He has represented a variety of entertainment clients including soccer legend Giorgio Chinaglia; entertainers Sticky Fingaz, Swizz Beatz and Foxy Brown; former New York State Senator Hiram Monserrate; "Sopranos" actor Lillo Brancato. In a profile of Mr. Tacopina, the New York Times said, "Mr. Tacopina is to the defense bar what Donald Trump is to real estate," and GQ magazine has called Mr. Tacopina, "The Hardest Working, Hottest Lawyer in the Country."

Joe played college hockey for the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds. He continued his hockey career after college at Springfield in the American Hockey League. Joe's many other sports interests have included serving as the Interim President of the Bologna Football Club of the Italian Serie A Football League.

After serving as a prosecutor, Joe chose to bring his talents to the criminal defense bar. Having tried more than 80 cases, he has earned the media's praise as "New York's fiercest defender." Court TV notes that Joe is "One of the great trial lawyers in America who wins cases that nobody else could win."

Because of his extensive litigation experience in both federal and state court and his successes in some very high profile cases, he frequently appears as an expert legal analyst on various media outlets nationwide. He can regularly be seen on MSNBC, CNBC, NBC, ABC, Fox News, CNN and Court TV. Media peers such as Sean Hannity refer to Joe as "One of the great defense attorneys of all time."
